Links 2003 - Grid Colour
========================

Edits the grid colour, opacity and line width inside LinksMMIII.exe to values of your choosing.
As the changes are set inside the exe the game draws it natively.

HOW TO USE
----------
1. Close Links if it is open.
2. Run LinksGridColour.exe (it will ask for elevated permissions).
3. The app should find the game automatically. If not, click Browse and point it at LinksMMIII.exe.
4. Choose which grid to change (see below).
5. Pick a colour, an opacity and a line width. The preview shows how it will look on a green.
6. When done click "Apply to game".
7. Start Links and go to a green.

Run it again any time to change the colour, opacity and line width.

WHICH GRID
----------
Links has two grids, and you pick which one to change in the "Grid to change" box:

  Standard grid - a plain single-colour grid.
Colour-coded - a height-coded colour grid that changes with the slope of the green.

Change one or both, they are independent, changing one leaves the other alone.

For the colour-coded grid tick "Use height-coded colours":

On - Sets the grid colours coded to the slope of the green.
The opacity can be set to make the grid easier to see.

Off - Sets a single colour for the whole grid.

UNDOING IT
----------
The first time you apply changes, a backup of your game is saved next to it as LinksMMIII.exe.bak.
Click "Restore original" to put everything back exactly as it was.

NOTES
-----
- Only use this with a copy of Links 2003 that you own.
- A virus scanner may warn about it simply because it changes another program.
The full source code is in the "source" folder if you want it checked.
- Keep the .bak backup file.
